Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day which is posted in the classroom.

Today in class you will 

• create a world mountain range map.
• draw a map of Europe.

Why?

• To develop your mental map.
• In order to drive your own learning.
• To develop your skills with geographic tools that you will use to analyze the world.

1.  Complete the mountain range map.  5 minutes

2.  Class Discussion 5 minutes

3.  Draw a map of Europe while referring to the NatGeo Atlas or GeoAlive. Include countries and major bodies of water. 25 minutes

4.  Answer the questions posted on the board about the map you created. 8 minutes

5.  Work with Place Spotting, Shepherd Software (outside of North America), or Free Map Games (outside of North America)

• What are some major mountain ranges of the world? Where are they?
• What did you learn about Europe?
