Today in class you will Develop a claim with reasons and supporting evidence. Reflect on the five themes of geography. Why? To deepen your understanding of the five themes of geography. To practice writing skills. DIRECTIONS   If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.) 1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute 2. Look through all your work related to the five themes of geography.         7 minutes 3. Think: What is a claim? What is a reason? What is evidence?        3 minutes 4.Wait for whole class direction. 5. Use the graphic organizer to develop your claim.         30 minutes 6. See Mr.d'E. ____________________________________ Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child, "What Did You Do in School Today?" Ask them....... What was your claim? How did you support/defend your claim?
