This blog gives students a starting point and overview of what we will do in class. It also allows parents a glimpse into my classroom so they have a sense of what their children are doing in class on a day-to-day basis. It is my hope that parents will gain greater insight and the information will inspire greater conversation about class at home.

5/3 Mental Health Awareness Day
Goal: Students will become familiar with, through practice, different strategies that will allow them to have positive energy and be able to focus on their well being and learning.
Students participated in the following activities:
Color to Calm and Music
Chair Yoga
Meditation and Body Scan
HIIT
Distractions
Ask your student: Which strategy was most effective for you? What benefits do you realize about some of the others?
