Students are working with one of the following regions in South America: Amazon Rainforest, Andes Mountains, Atacama Desert, the Pampas. Once they have researched information using provided sources, they will process the information with a group and individually take a quiz on their region. They will then, with the group, choose a product to create which could be a video, oral presentation, web page, or skit among other options. The groups will then share their product with others. The next area of study will be Africa.
Students are currently developing their mental maps of Asia. They have worked with the Middle East and will continue with South and Central Asia.
