  • start developing a sense of the "story" of Ancient Rome
  • examine Ancient Rome's physical geography

    • to develop your understanding of Ancient Rome
    • to enhance your understanding of the importance of physical geography to civilizations

DIRECTIONS    If you are waiting at any point, work with the Waiting Activities listed in the right-hand column of this page.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Finish your Ancient Rome map by borrowing the directions on the black stand near the big map:        10 minutes

3.  Take the sheet from near the windows                1 minutes

4.   Borrow a reading from Mr.d'E and answer the questions                 10 minutes

5. In the back of your Ancient Rome Map Activity sheet, without using resources, do a brain dump on Ancient Rome.                 5 minutes
