  • To develop your understanding of standard of living.
  • To develop empathy.

DIRECTIONS

2.  Finish following the directions from yesterday - refer to those directions and your direction sheet: 
     > Lego standard of living scenes for each factor
     > pictures of each scene
     > slide show

3.  Use a blue Goode's atlas or a white National Geographic atlas to answer the questions for a region. Have your answers checked as correct to receive the coloring sheet.  30 minutes

4. Use the link above to go to PlaceSpotting. Click on Create to create your own. Make several and submit the generated link to Mr.d'E via GMail.  30 minutes

DIRECTIONS

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2.  Create a different scene to show about each of the different factors of standard of living: wealth, health, education, infrastructure.  35 minutes
     > One scenes should address EACH factor.
     > Discuss as you create.

3.  Using the Chromebook, one person in the group take separate pictures of each scene.   5 minutes
     > Share each with the group members with permission to VIEW. 
     > The other group members will need to make copies of each picture.

4. Annotate your pictures.  30 minutes
     > In your social studies folder, create a Google Slide.
     > Individually and for each picture, insert the photo into a separate slide.
     > Explain what each scene shows by using text boxes and lines/arrows to point out where in the photo the words refer to.
