11/20 Economic Systems - main ideas

  • show that you have a sense of what the three basic economic systems are through pictures, words, and symbolism.
Why?
  • To develop your understanding of basic economic concepts.
  • To describe how different economic systems try to answer the basic economic questions of what to produce, how to produce, and for whom to produce.

(Just like you did with the previous sketchnote, create a new post for your blog.
  • Use the Insert Image tool in the toolbar to take a picture of your sketchnote with the webcam.
  • Give it a meaningful title.
  • Include the following labels (productivity tip-you can copy and paste them):  social studies, economy, economic system, sketchnotes)
1 Read through these notes from the other day. And look through this linked slide show from the other day.  Ask those around you to clarify areas of weakness.  8 minutes

2.  Write at least three main ideas you can glean about EACH economic system from the notes you just reviewed.  10 minutes

1 Read through these notes from the other day. And look through this linked slide show from the other day.  Ask those around you to clarify areas of weakness.  8 minutes

2.  Draw it out: create Sketchnotes for the economic systems   30 minutes
  • remember to have it organized in some manner, including a title
  • draw words in a way to get across their meanings
  • draw other images and symbols to get across meaning - bounce ideas off of those around you, but make your own work original
  • add color - colored pencil boxes on bottom shelf under counter
3.  Just like you did with the previous sketchnote, create a new post for your blog.  5 minutes
