Why?

  • To broaden your understanding of South Asia

DIRECTIONS    If you are waiting at any point, work with the Waiting Activities listed in the right hand column of this page.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.   Your discussion should last at least 15 minutes. Only focus on the pages agreed upon - do not give anything away from later in the book.  Make sure everyone speaks/shares and is listened to.


 Discuss (don't read your notes, but you can refer to them) the following:            15 minutes
  •  how you would respond to the guiding questions.
  • what are you confused / unsure of?
  • what surprised you - why?
  • which character do you like the best - why?
  • what you think will happen next - why?
  • any other thoughts about the book
3.     In Google Classroom, complete the Thinking about......question.        5 minutes

4.     Wait for Mr.d'E  Share            15 minutes
