Today, if waiting, go to the link from the first tweet in the Twitter feed and read.  NOTE: Whenever you are waiting for Mr.d'E or others so you can complete a next step, appropriately comment on other students blogs: Give a compliment; respond to something specific (what did it make you think, do you agree/disagree - why), extend the conversation (add a relevant question; share what other ideas came to your mind as you read the post); do NOT critique their writing/thoughts.

2.  Finish with the other side of the mountain. 7 minutes

3. Brainstorm simple images and symbols that go with each of the different vertical climate zones and address the following: climate, physical features, natural resources, economic activity, human adaptations.   10 minutes

4.  Discuss with your group: How does what you've learned about the climate zones of the Andes apply to the standard on the wall? Talk about specific examples that help to show that.  5 minutes  20 minutes
