A, B, & D periods

Today in class you will 

• determine one word that is your focus for the year.
• create a Google Drawing.

Why?

• To develop reflection skills.
• To develop self-motivation. 

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Organize Google Drive.           10 minutes

• In your Classroom folder, make sure you have a folder for last year with all of last year's work in it.
• If not, make a folder called 2016-2017 and drag all your 6th grade work into it.
• Still in the Classroom folder, make a folder for this year named 2017-2018.

3. Make a copy of the document at this link, move it into this year's social studies folder in the Google Drive Classroom folder.            2  minutes

4. Follow directions in the document. Please ask for assistance when you need it.              35 minutes

7. Look at others' responses on the padlet and then on the grid.          10 minutes
