1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2.  YOU SHOULD BE DONE WITH THIS STEP Read the chapter related to that topic and take two column notes.  (If you choose the last topic, start with this. You do not have an assigned partner. Move it to the social studies folder.)           30 minutes

3.  YOU SHOULD BE DONE WITH THIS STEP Identify the main ideas / points someone should understand about your topic. Put them in appropriate spots on the left side of your two column notes.           10 minutes

4. Find additional, up to date sources related to your topic.           30 minutes

  • check to see if the source is reliable
  • collect citation information for the source (EasyBib)

5.  Take two column notes on the additional sources.           30 minutes
