- To practice reading skills.
DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting by students, PlaceSpotting , Google A Day, or this Google Maps Scavenger Hunt or create a meme for one of our social studies topics from the year. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1. Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above). 1 minute
2. Skim the chapters for the allotted time. Refer to your document from last class. 15 minutes
3. Rate your interest level in each topic --> 5 being the highest 5 minutes
4. Share with your partner why you rated the ones highest that you did. 5 minutes
5. Put a star next to ONE topic that you want to focus on. The last one will be more difficult. 5 minutes
6. Read the chapter related to that topic and take two column notes. (If you choose the last topic, start with this. You do not have an assigned partner. Move it to the social studies folder.) 15 minutes
