1.  Use PENCIL. Being mindful of shape, size, and location, accurately draw and label the continents and oceans as a map of the world(you may refer to an atlas/book).  Include the following.  You should have previously started this map.  15 minutes 
  • Equator (also label)
  • Prime Meridian (also label)
  • North America
  • South America
  • Europe
  • Africa
  • Asia
  • Australia
  • Antarctica
  • Atlantic Ocean
  • Arctic Ocean
  • Pacific Ocean
  • Indian Ocean
  • compass rose (also label)
2.  Use colored pencils and an atlas to complete the South America GDP per capita map.  20 minutes 

  • Gross Domestic Product is the value of all the goods and services a country produces in a year.
  • GDP per capita is that value averaged by the number of people to more clearly show wealth available.
3.  Answer the questions about your South America map.  8 minutes

You could ask your child the following: 
  • Name the continents and the oceans of the world.
  • What did you learn about South American countries' GDP per capita?
