1 With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today (see above). 2 minutes

2.  B&F:  Have a discussion about the third question for 2 minutes; then write your own response by yourself.  E: Finish your written response to the third question.  Paired discussion - Mr.d'E will tell you when to move on to the next question.   
6 minutes
  • Does a country's standard of living show how everyone in that country lives? Explain.
  • What is the most interesting thing you have learned about standard of living? Why?
  • How much obligation do you think people in a country with a high standard of living like the United States has to help people who live in a low standard of living?  Explain.
3.  Share the document with your responses to the above with your partner.   1 minute

4.  Give feedback.  Use the comment feature in Docs.  10 minutes 
  • Read your partner's work
  • Read your partner's work (again) aloud.
  • Do the explanations make sense?
  • Do they need to reword some areas?
  • Do they need capital letters ( or remove some)?
  • Do they need punctuation?
  • Are there run - ons or fragments?
5. Revise your work.   10 minutes
  • Ask your partner for clarification.
6.  Post your writing with your infographic image to your blog.  8 minutes

7.  Pull key points from Ch 32 in Geography Alive on globalization and trade.  Jot them down.  15 minutes
