  • analyze how different economic systems work.
  • identify positives and negatives for each type of economic system.
Why?
  • To develop your understanding of economics.
  • To develop your critical thinking.
  • To practice identifying common information from multiple sources.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Your group needs to create - using legos - "sculptures" that get across the three basic economic systems.            20 minutes

3.  One person take pictures of your sculptures, upload them to your social studies folder in Drive, and share them with your group mates.             5 minutes

4.  By yourself, write or record an explanation of your "sculptures" as to how they get across the three basic economic systems.             20 minutes

5. Class share Museum walk - explain to one another about your sculptures              20 minutes

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child,
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • Show me Explain to me about your "sculptures." How do those represent the three basic economic systems?
