9/12 Basic Map Skills

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).



Today in class you will 
  • demonstrate understanding of basic map skills.

Why?
  • To develop your skills to efficiently access geographic information.

 DIRECTIONS
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Open the document found at this link.      3 minutes

3.  Follow the directions from the document you just opened.      50 minutes

Ask them.......
  • What are some basic map skills that you are practicing?
  • Why do you think basic map skills are important for learning about geography?
