11/8 5 Themes; Summary Writing

Today in class you will
  • Demonstrate your understanding of the five themes of geography.
  • Practice making comments on a student's blog post.
Why?
  • To deepen your understanding of the five themes of geography.
  • To craft a positive digital footprint.

DIRECTIONS
  If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2. Complete the assignment in Google Classroom. Remember to submit the form and turn in the assignment.          20 minutes
3. Make a copy of the document linked here and move it to your social studies folder using the folder icon next to the title.         2 minutes
4. Read through the document. Jot questions or comments using the COMMENT tool and ask for clarification about the document.         7 minutes

5.  Make a copy of the document linked here and move it to your social studies folder using the folder icon next to the title.
        2 minutes

    6. Read through a classmates' blog post, organize a comment in the document you just copied, and draft the comment. Then, copy and paste it onto the person's blog as a comment.       10 minutes
