1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2. Wait for whole class:  Share characteristics of the US as a civilization       25 MINUTES

3. Wait for whole class:  Distinguish between general examples and specific evidence      5 MINUTES

4.  Wait for whole class:  Quick write found in Google Classroom     10 MINUTES
