9/1 BreakOut!

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will 
  • start getting comfortable in social studies class.
  • work with your peers.
  • solve problems.

Why?
  • To better understand the people around you.
  • To develop your leadership skills.
  • To develop trust with your peers
  • To develop your critical thinking skills.

1.  Brainstorm on paper: What do you remember about ancient civilizations? 5 minutes

2.  Breakout overview.   5 minute

3.   Breakout!.    30 minutes

4.   Debrief    5 minutes

  • What was Breakout all about?
  • Were you successful?
  • What did you learn about yourself and/or others by doing this activity?
