1/13 Wants, Needs, & Economy

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).


Today in class you will 
  •  learn about a place outside of North America by reading.
  • summarize the reading
  • add to your World News Map
    Why?
    • To develop your mental map of the world.
    • To synthesize information.



    1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

    2..    Discuss with your group the Survivor Scenario!

    3. Individually complete your part of the Survivor Scenario!

    4. Class discussion: Wants vs. Needs

    5. Discuss: What is economy? We'll come up with a definition.

    6. Illustrate economy.
