    • To understand your connection as a consumer to other places in the world.


    1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

    2..    Read about what globalization is at the page linked here.   3 minutes

    3. Wait for people at your group to get to this point, then discuss with them about what globalization is.  What other terms would your group associate or relate to globalization? Then wait for a whole class discussion.        1 minute

    4. Use page 459 in Geo Alive and the information posted to create a map on Globalization & Sneaker Production. Title the map, map the natural resources and synthetic materials with a colored dot, and include a key.        10 minutes

    5. Use page 460 in Geo Alive and the information posted to show routes the natural resources would take to get from their location to present day manufacturing locations.  Then show a route to the U.S.  Include the routes in your key.        7 minutes

    6. By yourself, complete the Globalization RAFT Sneaker Natural Resources linked here. Make a copy and move it to the social studies folder in Google Drive. This is independent work. What type of writing is this?         20 minutes

    7. Class share.
