- analyze the structure of a text.
- independently create a top down web/organizer.

- To better understand physical and human geography.
DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1. Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above). 1 minute
2. Wait for whole class discussion. 7 minutes
3. Independently summarize p 30 - 33 in Geography Alive. 20 minutes
4. Look through Ch 2 p 24 - 39 in Geography Alive. Analyze the features: How is the chapter set up? What are its features? 7 minutes
5. Create a top down web/organizer. 15 minutes
6. Wait for whole class discussion. 7 minutes

- What were important ideas that you found out from the text book about physical features, climate, vegetation, population density, economic activity, land use, and resources?
