NOTE: Links to Google Classroom, Google Docs, or other Google Apps for Education will require students to log in to their school account.

NOTE: Due to the drop period in our schedule, there are times that your student might be working on a previous day's agenda. That will be noted at the top of the post.

1/2 Goal Setting; Review

Reminders
  • Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
  • Please write your homework in your assignment book.
  • Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will
  • Create an academic goal.
  • review your knowledge of economic concepts.

Why?
  • To self direct your learning and to give it greater purpose.
  • To see what you remember after 2 weeks away. 😉

DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2. Review the goals and steps you created earlier in the year. You should have a copy in your binder. How well have you achieved these goals? Why?        2 minutes
3. Review your One Word that you set for yourself at the beginning of the year. You have a OneWord doc in your social studies Drive. How well have you kept this as a focus? Why?        2 minutes
4. Complete the assignment in Google Classroom        20 minutes
5.  Without any resources, write everything you remember about basic economic concepts.        10 minutes

6.  Whole class discussion.        7 minutes

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child,
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • What academic goal have you created for yourself? Why?
