1/3 Standard of Living

Reminders

Today in class you will
  • Evaluate living situations across the world.
  • Develop a definition for standard of living.

Why?
  • To develop empathy.
  • To better understand similarities and differences throughout the world.

DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2. Without using any resources, in your scrap paper doc, write what you think the definition of standard of living is        2 minutes
3. Wait for whole class sharing.        5 minutes
4. Carousel: wait for directions.        25 minutes
5.  Whole class discussion.        10 minutes

6.  Standard of living definition.        7 minutes
