1. Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above). 1 minute
2. Play a round of Quizziz 5 minutes
3. By yourself: Complete information for your role. 10 minutes
4. If you have less than four in your group, speak with me about the following direction: Determine which member of your group will be the note taker. That person make a copy of the document linked here. Move it to your social studies folder using the icon next to its name. Share it with each member of your group. 5 minutes
5. The note taker takes notes of the following: Present aloud what you came up with for your role. Others should listen and then respond. Another then shares. (When the note taker shares, someone else should take notes.) 20 minutes
6. Discuss as a group: What evidence of the five themes of geography is in the book? 5 minutes
7. Whole class discussion. 10 minutes

6. Revise your argument writing. 15 minutes
7. By yourself: Write meaningful sentences with the vocabulary. You are not defining the terms. Use it in a sentence with appropriate context. 15 minutes
