4/23 Human & Physical Geography Breakout

Today in class you will
  • Start to become familiar with how human geography is influenced by physical geography.
Why?
  • To develop your critical thinking skills.
  • To develop your understanding of geography.


DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. With your group: Discuss what you would see, hear, and do to work well together.          5 minutes

3. With your group Use the clues to make your way up the mountain and plant your flag at the top.         35 minutes

4.  By yourself, respond to the following:            5 minutes
  • What is the most important thing you learned about how physical geography impacts human geography? Explain.
  • What is one way that you worked well with your group? Explain.
  • What is reason you enjoyed the breakout activity?

5.  Discussion         5 minutes
