4/26 Human & Physical Geography

Reminders

Today in class you will
  • Start to become familiar with how human geography is influenced by physical geography.
Why?
  • To develop vocabulary.
  • To develop your critical thinking skills.
  • To develop your understanding of geography.


DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. Whole class: Geography review          10 minutes

3. With your group          15 minutes
  • Through discussion, paraphrase what the prompt is getting across.
  • Brainstorm ideas about human geography and physical geography that are connected to the prompt. (Think about what you've already been exposed to regarding human and physical geography.)

4.  Whole class question generation guidelines            5 minutes

5.  Group question generation         25 minutes
