NOTE: Links to Google Classroom, Google Docs, or other Google Apps for Education will require students to log in to their school account.

NOTE: Due to the drop period in our schedule, there are times that your student might be working on a previous day's agenda. That will be noted at the top of the post.

11/5 Patterns of Human Geography

Today in class you will
  • Practice with terms related to human and physical geography.
  • Share about a country's human and physical geography.
  • See connections between countries' ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups.
Why?
  • To be able to think and speak like a geographer.
  • To strengthen your geographic understanding.
  • To enable you to better understand the world.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. Do ONLY ONE round of Quizizz.            8 minutes

3. You should be done with your country research and infographic. We will take this time to make sure we know how to find images and use the EasyBib Add - on.            15 minutes

4.  Speak with each member of the class.  When instructed by Mr.d'E, group your countries by the following: ethnic groups, linguistic groups, religious groups. Each time followed by discussion.                   35 minutes

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child,
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • What is human geography? Physical geography?
  • What patterns did you notice about ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups throughout the world? Why might this be important?
