11/8 Ethnic Groups

Today in class you will

  • Analyze information from readings.
  • Reflect on important understandings about ethnicity.

  • To be able to think and speak like a geographer.
  • To strengthen your geographic understanding.
  • To enable you to better accept differences.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. Read aloud - ethnicity, religion, linguistics          15 minutes         

3. Draw         3 minutes         

4.  Whole class share & discussion.                   10 minutes      

5.  Read aloud - Fa'asamoa, The Samoan Way - analyze                   5 minutes  

6.  Whole class share & discussion.                   10 minutes
