1/3 Global Goals Sketchnote

Reminders
  • Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
  • Please write your homework in your assignment book.
  • Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will
  • Process information about the Global Goals (UNSDG) by evaluating them and developing questions.
Why?
  • To better understand human geography.
  • To develop empathy.
  • To develop critical thinking.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting , Google A Day, or this Google Maps Scavenger Hunt or create a meme for one of our social studies topics from the year. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2. Refer to the Global Goals sketchnote example in Google Classroom, your notes (scrap paper in social studies folder), the comics (linked on 12/19), and the GlobalGoals site               10 minutes  

  • Which goals do you understand what they are about? 
  • Which goals are you not very clear what they are about? 
  • Which goals are somewhat clear what they are about?

3. Wait for whole class share.                  10 minutes

4. Complete the survey linked here.                  10 minutes 

4. Wait for survey share and  developing questions.                  20 minutes

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child, 
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • Describe what you are putting into your sketchnote on the Global Goals.
  • Which are  the most important goals? Explain your thinking.
