  • review and reflect on our map skills.
Why?
  • To improve our ability to think about our learning.
  • To practice connecting claims, evidence, and explanation/reasoning.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting by students, PlaceSpotting , Google A Day, or this Google Maps Scavenger Hunt or create a meme for one of our social studies topics from the year. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)


1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Finish the I Can for map skills         20 minutes

3.  See Mr.d'E about new evidence.          25 minutes

"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • How well can you do the different map skills?
  • Why do you think this? What is your evidence?

  • review human geography and physical geography.
  • become familiar with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Why?
  • To develop a purpose for what you are learning.
  • To see how people around the world are connected.
