Argument Writing Revisions & Edits; Physical Geography

Reminders

  • Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
  • Please write your homework in your assignment book.
  • Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will

  •  present claims, evidence, and explanations.

Why?

  • To deepen your understanding of human and physical geography.
  • To help you become better at supporting arguments.
  • To practice writing skills.

DIRECTIONS

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Review the work from yesterday's battle.  Based on the work you see, 

  • feedback you've received, 
  • and the resources in Google Classroom
  • what can you do to make the different parts of your writing better?  
  • Make appropriate revisions to your own argument writing piece (not in the Battle Royale). Make appropriate edits.        45 minutes


3.  Speak with Mr.d'E.  Then, complete the reflection at this link.

4.  Use Geography Alive and complete the tasks on the back board.

5.  Work on a sidequest.

"What Did You Do in School Today?"

Ask them.......


  • What did you do to improve your introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion?
  • What did you learn about physical geography?
