2. Whole class: Ask questions using deductive reasoning (what do you know) in order to figure out what is in the mystery chest. 10 minutes
3. Small groups: Examine the artifacts, and have a discussion about the following in the order of the questions. You are not doing searches. 15 minutes
- What do you notice about the artifact (materials, shape, colors, objects, etc.)?
- What is it? Why do you think it was made / What was its purpose? Justify your thoughts to your group.
- Who do you think would have used the artifact? Justify your thoughts to your group.
5. Whole class share: Individuals will share their ideas about each artifact. We will then reveal what the artifact actually is. 15 minutes

By yourself, access the Ancient Greece Geography slide deck in Google Classroom and complete the map and questions. Colored pencils boxes are in the front corner of the room. 35 minutes
