1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Review the 2 column notes expectations in Google Classroom.                            5 minutes

3.  Review your independent 2 column note taking practice                              5 minutes

• Are your details in notes, not sentences?
• Do you have 5 main idea sentences (1 for each chunk)?
• check for titles/headings that seem like sentences, using HOW, WHY, WHAT
• Do your main ideas line up with their details on the page?

4.  Wait for small group share.                             20 minutes

5.   Wait for whole group share.                             15 minutes

4.  Complete the scavenger with your group.                             40 minutes
