1.  Take out your South America GDP per capita map.  Review your answers to the questions.  5 minutes 
  • Gross Domestic Product is the value of all the goods and services a country produces in a year.
  • GDP per capita is that value averaged by the number of people to more clearly show wealth available.
2.  Class discussion  10 minutes
