12/8 Tuesday is News Day 2.1

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day which is posted in the classroom.

Today in class you will 
  • read about and summarize a current world news story.
  • develop your understanding of the world.
Why?
  • To develop your mental map of the world.
  • To begin seeing connections between yourself and other parts of the world.
  • To better understand the world around you.

1.  Following the new directions in Tuesday is News Day in Google Classroom, make sure the news story is plotted on your Google map and includes the summary.  35 minutes

2.  Turn in the work in Google Classroom when you are finished.

3.  See Mr.d'E


Parents
You could ask your child the following: 
  • What are some significant events that have been going on in the world?
  • Show me your Google world news map.
