2/1 Mental Map of the World

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day in the class.

Today in class you will 
  • develop your understanding of the world.
  • share your mental map of the world
Why?
  • To better understand the world around you.
  • To develop your mental map of the world.

1.  With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today (see above). 2 minutes

2.  Today in class you will demonstrate your place knowledge by creating your mental map of the world.  35 minutes

3.  Compare your maps.  5 minutes

Parents
You could ask your child the following: 
  • What countries, cities, and physical features do you know?
  • Where are they in the world?
