1 With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today (see above). 2 minutes

2.  
Today in class you will demonstrate your place knowledge by creating your mental map of the world.  35 minutes

3.  Compare your maps.  5 minutes

Parents
You could ask your child the following: 
  • What countries, cities, and physical features do you know?
  • Where are they in the world?
