  • develop your understanding of the world.
  • determine why countries trade.
  • determine the advantages of trade.
Why?
  • To better understand the world around you.
  • To understand how people of various countries are connected.

1 With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today (see above). 2 minutes

2.  Discuss with your group your main take-aways from yesterday's activity.
4 minutes

3. Choose which of the take-aways shared is most important.  You will share to the class.  (You can work with Free Rice Games Countries if you are done and waiting.)  2 minutes

4.  Create a doc as a group jot down the important points (at least seven) from Ch 32. One person write them on stickie notes to add to the wall as you go.  10 minutes

5.  Class debrief.  15 minutes

Parents
You could ask your child the following:
  • Describe the activity you did on Tuesday.
  • Why do countries trade?
  • What is globalization?
  • What are some advantages of globalization?
  • What are some disadvantages of globalization?
