Today in class you will 

• develop your understanding of the world.
• process why countries trade.
• process the advantages of trade.
• process the positive and negative impact of globalization.

Why?

• To better understand the world around you.
• To understand how people of various countries are connected.

1.  With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today (see above). 2 minutes

2.  Take out your copy of the class notes from last class. Carefully and thoughtfully review what you remember, what you have questions about (this may change due to the missed days), and what you can visualize.  7 minutes 

3.  Ask questions about the information you are not clear about.  7 minutes

4.  With your group: Brainstorm images and symbols that are appropriate for each topic. 3 minutes

5.  Create a sketchnote on globalization and trade.   25 minutes

• Keep in mind organization, images, and color.  
• Balance images with words to clearly get across the main points.
• Remember to fill your page.
