1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Finish writing your summary.              10 minutes

3. Complete a Venn diagram.            5 minutes

4.  Make analytical statements regarding your life and a Kenyan's life.           5 minutes

5.  Whole class discussion.           10 minutes

6. Miniature Earth           5 minutes

7.  With your group, generate questions about standard of living using the following procedure:           10 minutes
  • Ask/write as many questions as you can
  • Do not stop to discuss, judge, or answer any questions - don't ask whether or not it is a good enough question
  • Write down every question exactly as it is stated - don't worry about wording
  • Change any statement into a question
8.  Whole class share.             10 minutes
