- Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
- Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).
Today in class you will
- Create an infographic about the need for sanitation.
Why?
- To develop a positive digital footprint.
- To deepen your understanding of the five themes of geography.
DIRECTIONS
If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting or Google A Day. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1. Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above). 1 minute
2. If you earned less than EXPECTED on your commenting Exit Ticket, show me you can create a blog comment that meets expectation. This could be one you have already created and posted or a new one (show the draft prior to posting). 2 minutes
3.Use data from the World Toilet Day infographics (see last Monday or Tuesday) and the link here to create your own Google Drawing infographic on the need for proper sanitation. Include at least three pieces of data/info, 2 images you have permission to use, and “infrastructure” in context. If you have already started, finish it. 35 minutes
4. Whole class gallery walk. If you are waiting for the walk, go on to the next direction. 10 minutes
5. What are three main ideas that you can take away from the two infographics and the link above? Write them in a doc. What is the overall main idea regarding World Toilet Day? Write that above your three main ideas. Blend them into a summary, using additional details (but not excessive details) to make it flow. 10 minutes
