Today in class you will Explore information about basic economic concepts. Why? To strengthen your understanding of geography. To develop an understanding of how different places are connected. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.) 1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute 2.  Engage in the basic economic concepts challenge linked here.        40 minutes 3. Go to Google Classroom and, by yourself, complete the activity posted there.        20 minutes 4.  By yourself, create a sketchnote that gets across the main ideas about natural resources, needs and wants, economic activity, and economic systems. Use specific examples and content vocabulary.  (Overview / how to video: https://youtu.be/gY9KdRfNN9w; example pictured below) Keep in mind organization, images, and color.   Balance images with words to clearly get across the main points. Remember to fill your page.
