2. Watch the following video:        4 minutes

WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL WORLD WATER DAY?

According to the UN website, "International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources."

3.  To gain greater awareness, you are going to learn about water today, and tomorrow create an Ode to Water that gets across your understanding.

Go to different water stations around the room, using the guiding questions and taking notes on the document linked here. (You'll need to make a copy and move it to your social studies folder, using the folder icon next to its title.)        45 minutes

4. Whole class share      5 minutes

Parents: Instead of Asking Your Child,
"What Did You Do in School Today?"
Ask them.......
  • Why do you think it is important to know about water?
