Today in class you will
  • create a sketchnote about basic economic systems.
Why?
  • To better understand human geography.
  • To develop your understanding of standard of living.
  • To develop your understanding of economics.

DIRECTIONS

If you are ever waiting for a direction, please use PlaceSpotting by students, PlaceSpotting , Google A Day, or this Google Maps Scavenger Hunt or create a meme for one of our social studies topics from the year. (Don't search for the question or use a Google A Day answer site.)
1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute
2.  Review your experience from yesterday by referencing the debrief notes linked here AND ask Mr.d'E questions. 5 minutes

3.  View the information about the basic economic systems below AND create a sketchnote that address each system.  FOCUS on the key terms/ideas and use only those words and phrases as the words of your sketchnote  35 minutes



4.  Whole class share 10 minutes

5.  Wait for directions: St.of Living, UN SDG, Economic Systems 20 minutes

5.  In your scrap paper doc, brainstorm specific ways a country through its economic system can address standard of living / SDGs.  15 minutes
