1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Review the maps on the linked Ancient Australia Migration slides and think, "What's the most important point these maps make along with the physical features and climate maps?"                      5 minutes

3.   Take out the reading we have been working with, and think,  "What's the most important point about this information?                      5 minutes

4.   Wait for whole class discussion.                       10 minutes

5.    Main ideas list - self                        5 minutes

6.    Main ideas list - pairs                       5 minutes

7.   Wait for whole class discussion.                       20 minutes
