DIRECTIONS    If you are waiting at any point, work with the Waiting Activities listed in the right-hand column of this page.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Chat with someone next to you about the differences between topics, main ideas, and details.  Discuss which a summary focuses on.                     2 minutes

3.  Read the feedback in Google Classroom for your summary. Then, look in Aspen to see the assessment for summarizing and for content.                          7 minutes

4.   ABC PERIODS  Wait for whole class discussion                         20 minutes

5.  ABC PERIODS  Crafting explanations --> specific examples                      25 minutes

6.  D PERIOD  Wait for whole class discussion                         10 minutes
