10/7 Artifact Summary; Lessons Learned

Today in class you will

  •  summarize what specific Ancient Aborigine artifacts tell us about the people of Ancient Australia

Why?
  • to practice critical thinking skills
  • to practice summarizing skills
  • to develop your ability to support and explain answers with specific examples

DIRECTIONS    If you are waiting at any point, work with the Waiting Activities listed in Google Classroom, posted in the class, or in the right-hand column of this page.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).       1 minute

2.  Look at the example main ideas on the back board.  Review your artifact graphic organizer and notes                     2 minutes

3.  Look at suggestions for your last summary.                          2 minutes

4.   Complete this in class today or you will need to take your own time to do so:  In Google Classroom, use the Flip link under ARTIFACT SUMMARY to record a summary according to the directions and rubric.                          20 minutes

2.  Take out your information on Ancient Aborigines.  In Google Classroom, read through Lessons From History: Aborigines                     5 minutes

3.  This is a difficult task.  By yourself, complete the second slide as best as you can.                          15 minutes
