  • To describe how different economic systems try to answer the basic economic questions of what to produce, how to produce, and for whom to produce.

1 At your group, discuss what you need to do at the start of social studies class to get ready for the class activities.

2.  Economy is the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.  Do the following with the people at your group (probably on your SS scrap paper):
  • discuss what "to produce" means; come up with synonyms and other related words
  • discuss what "to distribute" means; come up with synonyms and other related words
  • discuss what "to consume" means; come up with synonyms and other related words
