4/8 EarthView & Reflection

Whenever you need help, please ask for it.
Please write your homework in your assignment book.
Please review the goal and agenda for the day (posted in the classroom).

Today in class you will 
  • take a tour inside the EarthView Globe.
  • reflect on your mental maps.
  • reflect on your EarthView experience.

Why?
  • To notice patterns in the world.
  • To improve your metacognition (thinking about your learning).
  • To better understand the connection between geography and people.


1. With another near you, discuss - in your own words - why you are in social studies today. (see above)  2 minutes

2. Review your three mental maps of the world in Google Classroom.      12 minutes

3. Class share:  EarthView Globe.  5 minutes

Parents: Don't Ask Your Child, "What Did You Do in School Today?"

Instead, you could ask your child the following: 
  • Tell me about the EarthView Globe.
  • How did you mental maps of the world compare?
