10/5 Leaving a Positive Digital Footprint

Today in class you will 

• practice appropriate "netiquette".
• practice leaving a positive digital footprint.

Why?

• To better understand how to use the internet and social media in a positive manner and influential manner.

1.  Discuss with someone near you what you will be doing in class today and why (see above).   1 minute

2.  Read through the Guidelines for Commenting linked here. - even if you did previously      10 minutes

3. Imagine you are not the author of your blog post.  Read your blog post, and in your scrap paper doc, write an appropriate comment you would make after reading the blog post (keep the guidelines in mind; make it at least three sentences).       8 minutes

• If you had done it previously around 9/21, create a different appropriate comment in your scrap paper doc.

4. While you wait, complete the Google A Day challenge using Google Search techniques you have learned (which doesn't include searching the question).

5. Class examples & discussion.      8 minutes

6. Other blogs.      10 minutes
